How To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing

This is probably the quickest way to start making money online, and can be very rewarding if done correctly. To make money with affiliate marketing the first thing you should consider is the product you are going to promote, as a rule it is far better to promote a product that you have some interest in as oppose to something you know nothing about.

I think the main reason alot of people find it hard to make money as an affiliate, is because they are not promoting the product to the right audience. One of the quickest and most effective ways to promote affiliate products is through Google Adwords. This enables you to start making money with affiliate marketing in as littles as 15 minutes. That said Google Adwords does have quite a learning curve and I suggest you do some reading up first on how to write effective ads. As a rule to write an effective Google Adwords Ad make sure you make the first line a feature of the product and the second line a benefit.

Also there alot of people that claim to be making millions online through affiliate marketing, and will show you amazing screenshots of thousands of dollars being paid to them. What they don`t show you is the advertising costs! There are thousands of places you can make money with affiliate markeitng for free.

The best way to make money with affiliate marketing for free is through a blog which is a free website, if you find blogs where people are interested in the product you are promoting and then invite them back to your blog to leave a comment, you will soon find you get alot of people visiting your blog and quite a few sales of your affiliate product, as it is targeted traffic.

Another way to make money with affiliate products is through ezine ads, which is where an advert of your choice is sent out to many people that are targeted towards your product this can bring in huge amounts of cash if you get the right list.

The ways you promote your affiliate products are entirely up to you, but I would suggest using lots of different ways as the more exposure you get the more money you will make! One of the most popular websites to find affiliate products to promote is called Clickbank and you will find the majority of affiliate use this website.

If you really want to make good money as an affiliate then I suggest thinking about doing a JV with someone and creating your won product somewhere down the line. This enables you to make more money as you will have affiliate working for you that are promoting your product and once you get 100`s of affiliates you will be making some good money.

If you are just starting out with internet marketing and affiliate marketing I suggest you try the blogging idea above as it is free and you can get started earning your first commisions before you move on to paid advertising.

What is a Super Affiliate? by Kathy Burns-Millyard

25 11 2006

Whether you’re new to affiliate marketing or you’ve gotten yourself started already, you may have come across the term “Super Affiliate” and wondered what exactly that is. Well I’ll tell you… A super affiliate is someone who kicks butt at affiliate marketing.

Super affiliates are usually the top earners in a given affiliate program. Some affiliate programs may have a top ten list - and all ten of those affiliate might be generating tens of thousands of dollars a month in sales. In cases like that, all ten of those affiliates would be considered “super”.

In general, super affiliates make up only one or two percent of all affiliate marketers. In fact, the bulk of affiliates struggle to get started. It takes them months sometimes just to generate their first affiliate check.

Then there are the middle of the road affiliates who generate anywhere from $200 to $2000 every month. They’re much farther ahead of the general affiliate crowd, and they probably only comprise of about 5% - 10% of all affiliate marketers online.

The super affiliates though. These are the ones who consistantly generate thousands - sometimes tens of thousands of dollars in commissions every single month. They have a system in place that ensures they continually generate sales for the affiliate programs they’re promoting.

Now, super affiliates are something of a rare breed, but anyone can become one with enough time and effort. Sometimes a new or struggling affiliate can have a brief windfall: Generating several thousand dollars in commissions for a small period of time, then going back to earning almost nothing fairly quickly. This doesn’t happen often though. Once an affiliate marketer of any skill level starts figuring out how to generate a lot of money quickly from their affiliate marketing efforts, usually all they have to do is repeat the process that was so successful. And if they repeat it well enough and often enough, they soon find themselves in the “super affiliate” category too.

If you’re new or struggling though, don’t be discouraged. Sometimes it can seem like a very long road to reach super affiliate status but you need to remember one very important point: Everyone started from the same place. So if other affiliate marketers were able to build up to thousands of dollars in commissions every month, you can too. Just take it one step at a time and you may find yourself there quicker than you thought.

Tips For Using Adwords To Promote Foreign Affiliate Sales by Max

20 11 2006

When advertising a product for an affiliate program via Adwords, such as nutritional supplements, then make sure you are targeting your campaign correctly. For the purpose of this example you would need to know that different countries have different legal issues with respect to supplement importation. There is no point spending your money advertising to people in countries that won’t be able to place an order.

Another issue to consider is shipping. Some companies offer absolutely horrid shipping terms to foreign customers. If you spend your Adwords dollars promoting such affiliate programs you’ll find the conversion ratio is almost non-existant. This is because even if you did find an interested party, they’d get frustrated by the shipping costs or terms, and abandon their purchase during the checkout process.

Personally, what I have noticed is that if I target my advertising worldwide I’ll get a lot of foreign clicks, but those clicks are very unproductive. I generally target my Adwords campaigns at US consumers only unless I have a specific reason to expand my reach. Until you develop some expertise you’d be wise to do the same yourself. If foreign consumers can easily buy the product or service you promote then you may find you can advertise to them at a cheaper price. However, do keep in mind that consumers in some less developed countries will simply be unable to afford the products you selling.

To summarize, before spending money to advertise outside of your country you must first consider various issues. These include legal issues, shipping particulars, and the basic disposable income level of your prospective customers. If you have considered these and other applicable issues, such as language, then you may find it profitable to do business on a wider scale. Start small and expand your efforts if you find that they are successful.

The Joys of Working Online by Keith Gravel

19 11 2006

Why you should be an Affiliate Marketer.

Have you ever passed an expensive restaurant while doing an errand or while on a work break and noticed all these fancy, expensive cars parked outside, belonging to the people in the restaurant wearing fancy, expencive clothes and eating fancy, expensive food? You know, the kind of people who look like they don’t have a care in the world while you don’t even know how you’re going to pay the rent this month. Well I know I’ve been down that road and the first question I always find myself asking is, “If they aren’t working while the rest of us are, how can they afford all this fancy, expensive stuff?” The truth is 75% of the worlds richest people work 5 or less hours a day. So how can you do less work and yet make more money. Easy… by doing the right type of work. With that in mind I did some research and discovered one of the best jobs in the world… Working as an online affiliate marketer! So why have I given this job the Gold Medal for job coolness? Well, let me explain.

Reason 1: It Pays Ridiculously!

I’m sure by now you’ve realised that these reasons are in order of importance. The salary is definitely a deciding factor when looking for a job and affiliate marketing doesn’t disappoint. But what exactly do I mean when I say it pays well, you ask? Oh, how about $50 000 for an average month! Now don’t get me wrong, not every affiliate is making this much of a killing, but there are some who can boast of such an income in a “quiet” month. You’re probably sitting there and shouting profanities at me and accusing me of being a liar but let me explain a simple concept to you first. Now, in any business, success is obviously determined by the number of sales you make which is determined by the number of people who actually know of your services and are willing to use them. So if 100 000 people in your city like buying from your gift shop, you’ll have a thriving, maybe even comfortable business. But that’s just the people in your city. What if you could take your business to the 1.5 billion + people on the internet. True that not all of them would be interested with what you’re selling but you’ll definitely have a lot more than just 100 000 customers that’s for sure. Coupled by the growth of internet users daily, you just can’t go wrong. Imagine you wrote an e-book about how to bake an upside down cake and one in every 100 people wanted to by it. That would give you a potential market of 15 million people. So if you sold your book for just $1.00 you would have made $15million with one book. So as an Affiliate marketer, you don’t even need your own product. Just sell someone else’s product and make a killing of the commissions. Sounds good doesn’t it? Now that I’ve got your attention, let’s discuss the other great advantages.

Reason 2: You get to set your own working hours!

Almost everyone in the world is basically worried about two things… TIME & MONEY! Now as an Affiliate Marketer, you get an abundance of both. Once you have established your own opt-in lists, traffic generators and auto responders, you can basically run your business on auto-pilot leaving you with plenty of time to do the things you enjoy. Your system will basically do the selling for you giving you the time to actually enjoy the money you work for. But that’s not all… working online means you can work where ever there is an internet connection and computer. So you can take a two week vacation with the family to Miami and still keep in touch and even make more money while on vacation. This way you’ll never feel guilty about over spending ever again. Choosing your own working hours also means less stress on your part because you basically work when you can and when you can’t… don’t! It’s that simple. So less stress means you’re less likely to die of a heart attack or stroke like everyone else who’s working 9 - 5. You can actually enjoy your life and have the freedom to do what you want to do.

Reason 3: Say good-bye to “THE BOSS” Unfortunately, this reason is definitely not going to make everyone happy. Infact, there are two types of workers who will not agree with working online because of this reason: 1. Those workers who need a loud voice barking orders to give them “inspiration”, i.e. people who are not self motivated. 2. Those workers who like to grovel their way into receiving raises and promotions! As for the rest of us, I’m sure I don’t have to explain any further. No boss means you don’t have to call in sick just because you want to watch the soccer world cup and you won’t end up using the same lie three times thereby looking like an idiot just because you need a day off (e.g. Telling your boss that you have to go to you great aunt’s funeral, on 3 separate occasions).

Sound Good Enough For You?

So just to recap on what you’ve learned today, if you become an Affiliate Marketer:  You don’t have to spend sleepless nights trying to brainstorm on a product to sell. Just sell someone else’s and get the commissions.  You can make your yearly income a monthly one and buy that Luxury car and house that you’ve always wanted!  You can work when you want and where you want.  You don’t have to leave your tasks to make some idiot in a big chair a coffee  You can take more vacations than you’ve ever dreamed of because you’ll have both the time and the money.  You can be sure your children have a bright future.  You can be guaranteed a healthier stress free life.

Wealth, Health and Happiness… That’s all I need, what about you?

PPC ADVERTISING: HOW TO MAKE YOUR BUSINESS “CLICK” by Frank Okorodudu

11 11 2006

PPC stands for Pay Per Click - a popular advertising technique on the Internet. Found on websites, advertising networks, and especially on search engines, PPC advertising involves sponsored links that are typically in the form of text ads. These are usually placed close to search results, where an advertiser pays a particular amount to visitors who click on these links or banners and land on the advertiser’s web page.

In essence, PPC advertising is all about bidding for the top or leading position on search engine results and listings. Advertisers do this by buying or bidding on keyword phrases that are relevant to their products or services - the higher the bid, the higher the spot on the search results, the more the people will find the ad (and click on it) to go to their websites (this is why some people call it “keyword auctioning”). Advertisers would then pay the bidding price every time a visitor clicks through the website.

PPC advertising is also known under the following names/variations:

· Pay per placement · Pay per performance · Pay per ranking · Pay per position · Cost per click (CPC)

PPC advertising is usually done with the following standard procedures:

1. Setting up an account and/or deposit funds.

2. Creating a keyword list.

3. Choosing (and setting up) an account with a PPC search engine.

4. Bidding on the ad placement, including the search result words or phrases.

5. Writing out an ad copy.

6. Setting up the ‘landing pages’ for your ads.

7. Placing the advertisement in the search engine.

There are many benefits to Pay Per Click advertising, making it an effective way of promoting a business ‘online’. Some of them are listed below:

· Get launched immediately. PPC advertisements are implemented very quickly - they can go ‘online’ within an hour after winning the bid and paying for it.

· Obtain specific, pre-qualified, and quality traffic. PPC provides you with a quality or a well-targeted traffic. Visitors are narrowed down into ‘qualified’ people who are actually looking for specific products and/or services that you offer - those who are more likely to become a ‘lead’ (a convert) and complete a transaction (either by buying your product or subscribing to the service that you are offering.

· Widen your reach. PPC advertising provides additional traffic to your site, aside from the natural or “organic” search engines.

· Track your investment. PPC advertising makes use of a tracking system that will determine exactly who comes to the website and what they do once they arrive - the length of their stay on the site and the number of pages (including the actual pages) that they view. These are valuable tools in determining statistics such as return on investment (ROI), acquisition cost-per-visitor, and conversion rates (the percentage of visitors who are converted into customers or leads).

Below are some important things to consider when planning on a pay per click campaign:

1. Know your product. Take an inventory of the product and/or services that you have to offer (before anything else).

2. Stay within the budget. Determine your daily or monthly budget; and stay with it. This means keeping your budget in mind, avoiding bidding wars if possible.

3. Bid just right. Know how to bid right - a bid that is too high can exhaust all of your money, while a bid that is too low can make you lose that spot.

4. Watch the bottom line. Measure your profit margin against your spending or expenses. Know when to stop and terminate your PPC program - if you spend more on advertising but have little or no sales at all.

5. Find the right keywords. Decide which keyword phrases to opt and bid for. Do some keyword research, either by actually looking at existing search terms or with the use of online keyword suggestion tools, to know which terms are mostly used when searching for items that are related to your business. Focus on specific keywords, not on general ones.

6. Write effective ads. A good PPC ad is that which can persuade and move a searcher. There are several approaches to this:

· Discount offers · Testimonials · Celebrity/famous endorsers · Money-back guarantees · Free trials or sample offers · Freebies · Reverse psychology · Major benefits (”Lose weight”) · Direct instructions (”Click here”)

7. Maintain a professional-looking site. Your web content should be regularly updated and checked for spelling and grammatical errors. There should be no broken links or images. The website should be simple - designed in such a way that it will be easy for visitors to navigate and load. Include contact details to create a good impression among potential customers.

Done properly, PPC advertising can be an effective marketing tool that will maximize the return on your investment.

10 Secrets of the Super Affiliate Mindset by Anik Singal

9 11 2006

Contrary to popular belief super-affiliates don’t really DO things differently than affiliate underachievers. Super-affiliates promote the same products. They use the same SEO techniques. They have the same headaches and they work just as hard.

The truth is super-affiliates THINK differently. Their minds and attitudes go far beyond the commission check. For them, affiliate marketing is not just a business– it’s a CAREER. This professional mindset makes a huge difference in how and when they take action in the marketplace.

I’ve worked side by side with many super-affiliates. I’ve even helped create a few. They all share a special kind of mindset. So as you read these 10 characteristics of affiliate super-achievers, ask yourself, could I learn to think this way?

#1 Super-affiliates think creatively.

You know what you’ll get if you do what everyone else does? You’ll get what they get… only you’ll be splitting it with them, and all their imitators.

In today’s Internet marketplace, you need to be a leader, not a follower. Super-affiliates don’t follow the crowd. Instead, they sell TO the crowd, applying the most successful marketing techniques to selling the most popular products and then add a unique spin.

It could be as simple as offering one unusual, but highly valuable bonus. It could be as sensible as using low-cost offline marketing, while everyone else is breaking the bank on expensive PPC. It could be as innovative as dumping the sales letter, and substituting a quiz or contest. But super-affiliates always, always, ALWAYS look for ways to be a little more creative than their competitors.

#2 Super-affiliates learn the hard stuff.

Less than 10% of people who start their own business are successful. Why? Most fail because they lack direct sales experience don’t bother with a marketing and business plan, or get into debt promoting products that don’t have a market. In other words, they flunk when they get tested on the really tough aspects of business.

Super-affiliates are different. They learn how to do all the hard things other people shy away from. They learn about selling and they get good at it. They set goals, make daily and weekly plans, and measure their progress. They don’t waste time creating huge content sites unless they have hard evidence that those sites will eventually bring them BUYERS (not just browsers or researchers).

And most of all, they keep their eye on PROFITABILITY. Not just traffic, not just visitors. Super-affiliates look for a return on their investment of time and effort, as well as money.

#3 Super-affiliates follow up.

Most affiliates can attract prospects. A few can convert prospects into customers. But only super-affiliates turn existing customers into repeat customers.

Super-affiliates know that the person who has already bought from you is the most willing prospect for your backend products, upsells, and cross-sells. These current customers are also the cheapest to sell to. As a result super-affiliates are always thinking of the lifetime value of a customer and always offering them the best value and deals.

#4 Super-affiliates give before receiving.

Super-affiliates invest time and money giving something of REAL value before asking for the sale and before sealing a JV. Maybe they give away useful content, offer a valuable resource or put in some equity for a piece of the action. In other instances they may give a customer the chance to win something or a smile.

Regardless of what is given away by super-affiliates they do business in a spirit of openness. It is not about beating the other guy but rather networking and making alliances. It’s about viewing the Internet marketplace as one great small town stretching across the globe, full of potential. It’s about saying “let’s talk” and putting money, effort, or reputation on the table BEFORE making demands.

#5 Super-affiliates know how to receive.

Giving is the best first step but it’s only the beginning. Once they’ve hammered out a deal or given something of value, super-affiliates also know how to take what they rightfully deserve.

That means they don’t just pre-sell… they ASK prospects for the sale. They’re not afraid to capitalize on a good deal. They LIKE profits and don’t apologize for being successful. And if they’re working on a JV, they state their expectations clearly, forthrightly, without a lot of fuss… and don’t de-value their list or reputation with cheesy offers.

Yes, the best super-affiliates receive their just rewards graciously, without throwing their egos around. And they not only say thank you. They look for ways to turn a “thank you” into an opportunity to generate more customer loyalty and more sales down the line.

#6 Super-affiliates think strategically.

Affiliate marketing isn’t a game of chance; its a profession. Super-affiliates are just as savvy about their industry, and just as uninvolved as other expert professionals, which means super-affiliates spend quality time thinking, planning, preparing, and evaluating. They analyze their sites, products, and sales and try to understand WHY one technique works and another doesn’t. They think about trends and ponder the mentality of their customers.

Bottom line is, super-affiliates LOVE their work.

#7 Super-affiliates test and analyze.

Profit, profit, profit! Super affiliates are hard-headed And committed to profits! They split-test carefully, think about why one ad pulls better than another, and try to duplicate the results. Time and energy is spent analyzing traffic, stats, and user purchase patterns. An aspiring super-affiliate has to be a fanatic about knowing his or her visitor to sales ratio on a daily basis and be obsessed with ROI.

If you want to say goodbye to the ranks of affiliate underachievers, learn to love the numbers like the super-affiliates do.

#8 Super-affiliates know when to go for volume over commission.

Here’s a very well-kept secret of some super-affiliates: you can earn a fantastic income from cheap untargeted traffic. Believe it or not, not every super-affiliate is brilliant at creating content or opt-in marketing. Some just concentrate on traffic — more and bigger traffic — and make money off of sheer volume sales and contextual advertising.

Here’s the basic formula, oversimplified of course: Let’s say that on a given web site you get 1000 unique visitors per day, or 30,000 visitors per month. If your average monthly profit from that site is $1500, then each visitor is worth 5 cents ($1500 divided by 30,000 visitors).

So in this example, if you spend 5 cents to attract a visitor, all you can do is break even. But if you can spend a lot less to get a visitor — say only 2 cents - you’ve got the potential to make some terrific profits on cheap traffic! Sure, it’s not going to be tightly niched traffic. But it’s also the kind of traffic that fits well with products that have mass-market mass-appeal, or even commodity products.

#9 Super-affiliates work a plan.

Successful affiliates have a simple business model: they replicate their success. Once they find something that works, they tweak it slightly, test, evaluate, and repeat. Some of the most profitable affiliate empires follow this simple, repetitive pattern. Consistent effort tends to yield consistent results, especially online, where certain types of marketing (like SEO) take time.

And more importantly, super-affiliates follow a schedule. So much activity per month, so many promotions, so many sales. When they fall short of their goals, they figure out why. If they can’t they cut their losses and try again.

Working a plan all boils down to discipline. Organization, tracking, and daily project management are a way of life for super-affiliates.

#10 Super-affiliates never quit.

Though they may ruthlessly dump under-performing products or cut their losses if the profits don’t flow super-affiliates don’t give up. They assume that they’re going to have some bumps and hard times and look at setbacks as essential learning experiences that, in the end, help them build a stronger business.

Ultimate List Building Exposed by John Woods

9 11 2006

Do you know what a funnel is?

Yes, of course you do! Likely you know what a sales funnel is too!

But just for those of you who you don’t it’s a simple process of taking a visitor and “funnelling them through a process”..

In it’s basic format it looks something like this…

Visitor

Opt in

Sale

Second sale

Third sale

Ongoing sales

Eventual Travel through funnel

Now in this process you have information, support, guidance, up selling, cross selling, down selling and back end selling… You may have training, cloning and a truckload of other goodies going on..

People may leave this funnel at any given point, but you can “control” to some point how they leave your processing.

That information is all for future reports (which we will be adding from time to time in our new site).

Many people in Internet Marketing have asked me….. “How do I get people into my list to begin with..”?

Well there are MANY ways, but one that I personally love and one that I know my own mentor teaches is…

Get them at FREE or BETTER than FREE!

So what can you give to someone that is better than free that will help you to build your list?

Well, lets look at that in more detail first.

Have a process in mind when you start this step.. Understand where you are ‘leading’ your visitor, do not just think one step ahead, have a plan, a goal, a purpose and to quote what Mike Filsaime teaches.. “Begin with the end in Mind…. ”

My latest quote, one that I think I lay claim to is this…..

“Focus lets you see further on down the road… Action, takes you there…”

So combining the two methods above, we already have a strong guiding force to ensure we build that list.

One is to have the focus, the foresight to know where we are headed, where we want to take our members on their journey and we also have the strategy implemented, we are taking action to put this machine in motion.

I call it a machine, because provided you set this right, you could in reality have a detachment from the whole process once it kicks into motion and you could simply become an observer and watch the whole process unfold..

Lets look at flower arranging as my example.. Lets say that this was my area of expertise, then I would probably start with a free eBook or better still a free video on basic flower arranging techniques and or tips…

That would be something my audience would be interested in, and they would be willing to share their email address for!

What is the cost of this method?

Well, there are MANY things you could use, and you do not even have to create them yourself.

Think about original marketing techniques… Offline, you would have to pay to advertise in a magazine, newspaper or journal in your field. You could pay for leaflets, inserts, TV ads, Radio ads, Business Cards, gift items with your contact information on and much more to spread the word about your business.. But this would not come cheap!

Now you can set up a web site, create a product at a very low budget and then give that away for free in return for the right to market to them in future - their email address..

Better still, you create a method for making money on the upsell to this free exchange and then you give that first upsell to your members to keep a high percentage of the profit.. This makes them an affiliate of your product, and they will then “advertise” on your behalf..

The incentive for them is income and to let people know about a great service or product you have and you get more names on your list to market to for the future…

How You Can Make Money With Affiliate Marketing Programs by Vinnie Gallagher

9 11 2006

With affiliate programs, it really pays to work well with others. Also known as referral programs, affiliate programs are normally commission based sales. You’ll recommend a site to your visitors and then pick up a commission as a percentage of any sales that those visitors make. You’ll benefit from the commission and the merchant benefits from the sales.

If you already have a website set up on the internet, you can run an affiliate program from your existing web site, or you can simply build a new site to promote a particular product, service or affiliate program. As long as it brings in more cash than it takes to build or run a new web site, you’ll be on your way to recurring profits.

With any type of marketing program, you must be cautious when you select an affiliate program. Be sure to do your homework and check out the program thoroughly. Even though it may seem extremely tempting to go for the programs that pay the highest commissions but beware, these programs won’t pay you anything if your visitors don’t buy them.

Below, you’ll find some tips to help you select an affiliate program that’s right for you:

FIRST: Do not accept any less than a 25% commission from any affiliate program (I personally do not work with any program that pays less than 50% or under $20). With a little research you can find numerous programs with very rewarding commission payment structures and high percentages of pay in just about any field you are looking at.

SECOND: Review the sales page for the affiliate program you have an interest in. Is it something that would get you excited enough to make a purchase? Do they outline numerous benefits that the buyer would receive when they purchase the product? Finally, do they have testimonials from other people who have purchased the product and have had positive results using the product?

THIRD: Look for the statistic pages that list the number of click troughs’, sales, and earnings so you’ll be able to see how you are doing.

FOURTH: Always look for programs that offer a wide variety of marketing tools to put on your web site, including banners, text links, and of course graphics.

FIFTH: Find out how often you’ll be paid and be sure that the payment schedule meets with your own expectations. Some programs will pay bi-monthly, while others will pay monthly or quarterly.

SIXTH: Be sure that top level support is included. If they can’t answer your questions in a quick and timely manner, you don’t want to work with them.

Once you learn what you are doing with affiliate programs, you can make a lot of money. If you are just starting out, you should always use common sense and do not rush into anything. As you become more familiar with how things work, you’ll be well on your way to making a lot of money and enjoying making it. Even if you have to work hard, you’ll be glad you did.

Tips to Make Easy Money from Affiliate Programs by John Baffone

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, you’re probably not surprised to hear about someone making a ton of cash on the Internet, usually without doing much more than clicking a mouse for a few minutes a day. Bank accounts of successful entrepreneurs are going from zero to thousands in less time than it takes to change a flat tire on your car.

You see, Back in 1996, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos came up with a groundbreaking Internet marketing idea- to build a network of websites (called affiliates), in addition to your own merchant site, that all have banners and links “advertising” your merchant site. When someone clicks on one of these ads, they’re automatically directed to your merchant site. When such a customer buys your product or service on your website through one of the affiliates, the affiliate makes a commission. The affiliate also might be paid for each potential customer they are responsible for getting to your site- also referred to as “pay per click”.

Now you need to get the clicks and commissions into your pockets. It’s all about the strategy and the technique. Here are a few tips to get you on your way to making easy money from affiliate programs-

Tip #1- Choose your affiliates wisely. Distributing your affiliate links everywhere on the net is a bad idea. You need to think quality, not quantity. By placing your links onto websites of interest to potential customers will yield better results than just sporadic placement. For example, if you’re website sells beauty products, you don’t want to place links on a football blog or NASCAR website. I’m not saying that women don’t enjoy these types of sites, but statistics prove that women are more likely to visit the I-Village’s of the net instead.

Tip #2- Send your website to affiliate directories. You will obviously want more people to join your affiliate program, so it only makes sense that notify affiliate directories of your intentions so they may allow others to interact with you and start their own affiliate program. If you’re unsure about how to go about this process, please see #3.

Tip #3-Find a pro. If you’re not 100% positive you know what you’re doing, seek the advice of someone who has made money via affiliate programs on the World Wide Web. It can be quite difficult to sift through those making their fortune by selling the affiliate program books and e-books and those that really made money by doing what they claim to have done. At any rate, a money-back guarantee is a good way to feel better about your purchase.
